Caistron Trout Fishery

Caistron Lake is a mature, picturesque 50 acre lake, spring fed with crystal clear water. It is well stocked with rainbow trout, blue trout and also contains a large head of wild brown trout, creating a unique and memorable fishing experience. We welcome all anglers, from novices to experts, and know you’ll enjoy fishing in this well stocked, scenic lake, near Rothbury, Northumberland. We also have 2 miles of the River Coquet for the chance to land a monster salmon, sea trout or wild brownies.

Calico Barn

Calico Barn is a converted barn at Hemscott Hill Farm, a mere 2 minute walk from an amazing 7 mile stretch of beach at Druridge Bay and only 1 mile north of Cresswell. Situated near to The Coast & Castles (NCN 1) cycle route, Calico Barn offers B&B accommodation and sleeps 18 people in a mix of twin, family and bunk rooms. In the summer months there are always free refreshments available for passing cyclists, and you are most welcome to use our facilities if you are passing.
