Berwick Wheelers

Berwick Wheelers cycling club has a strong tradition of racing. Club riders compete in open events throughout England and Scotland during the season. The club operates its own Time Trial Series and league on Thursday evenings from April to September and have members that compete in Road Races, Sportives, Cyclo Cross and even Mountain Biking events across the country.

We are a free to ride ‘Social Club’ and we take the pace easier than most but always regroup at regular intervals and at our designated cake stop -finding the best cakes is almost as important as the ride itself!.

CTC Tyneside & Northumberland Section

The Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) was formed in 1878 and works for all cyclists protecting cyclists' rights to use the roads, working for improved off-road access and for better public transport links. Members enjoy free third-party insurance cover, legal and technical advice, route and travel information and access to more than 200 local groups and national and regional CTC events. Membership costs under 80p per week, and also includes a free bi-monthly magazine.

Newcastle Mountain Bike Club

We mainly do cross country rides which covers a great many different types of terrain including roads, bridleways, fields, moors, forest drives and the inevitable mountain.

Northumbria Vikings Short Track (Cycle Speedway) Club

We are Northumbria Vikings Short Track (Cycle Speedway) Club based in Cramlington High School next to the Sporting Club building. We are always looking for new riders from 6 to 66 but particularly 16 to 30 year olds for our national race teams. We are also a British Cycling “Go-Ride” club for Under-16 riders.

Tyne Valley MTB was created in June 2009 by a small group of mountain biking enthusiasts based in the Tyne Valley and nearby. New members are welcome.
