Follow the Pennine Cycleway (NCN68) out of Berwick to Paxton, Norham, Etal and Kimmerston. Leave NCN68, cycle over Barmoor , through Lowick to Cheswick. Follow NCN1 back into Berwick.

Warkworth West Loop

This cycling route is a contrast between coastal splendour and quiet the quiet rural hinterland. Starting and finishing at Warkworth Castle & utilising part of The Coast & Castles cycle route, this is a particularly varied route with quiet lanes and by-ways. Highlights - long sandy beach, superb views, Warkworth Castle Distance - 12 miles Mountain bike / hybrid preferred type of bike.

WATBike Cycling

We provide transport and support services for cyclists doing challenge rides, including the C2C, Coast & Castles and Sandstone Way. We offer simple drop-offs, luggage transfers or full support packages. We can also provide mapping and guiding facilities for visitors to the area; we have a stock of bikes for hire; and we have a full workshop facility at our Ashington premises (Open Mon to Fri 0900 to 1530, Sat 0900 to 1600)

Way of the Roses - Cycle Route Economic Impact Report

This report presents the initial findings from a study to understand usage on the Way of the Roses route and the economic impact of the route to the local area. Monitoring has been undertaken at two locations along the route and analysis of these results forms the basis for the analysis in this report.
