Follow the Pennine Cycleway (NCN68) out of Berwick to Paxton,and then along country lanes through Hutton, Allanton and Edrom to Duns. Return to Berwick via Whitsome, the Chain Bridge and East Ord. 35.7 miles

Your host is Ollie Jay, a qualified teacher of Outdoor Education (PGCE from Bangor, North Wales) with a BSc in Exercise and Health; a National Governing body qualified instructor for sea and inland kayaking (level 4 coach), open canoeing (level 3 coach), climbing & abseiling (SPA holder), mountain biking, skiing and dinghy sailing. With 20 years experience of coaching and instructing a wide range of activities and clientele, Ollie is also a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning (IOL). By far the most experienced and qualified guide in the area.

Alnmouth / Warkworth Loop

This route links two of Northumberland's loveliest villages. Alnmouth, with it's single main street leading to the mouth of the River Aln, and larger Warkworth which sits on the River Coquet with it's ancient gateway and bridge, fine village centre and towering castle. The route is 50% quiet lanes, and 50% cycle path off the road, and is particular suitable for novice riders. Distance - 10.5 miles (can be halved). Suitable for all bike types.
