Say Hello! To Pedalling Squares, coffee bar, retro jersey's, cycling wear and merchandise. A passion for the professional cycling world is the reason that these guys set up this brand new coffee bar and online site offering great quality affordable clothing, replica and retro team cycling apparel. Situated on the Sea to Sea (C2C) route for cycles and also very close to the Derwent walk, this venue is a very handy bike friendly, dog friendly coffee bar.
Within the Old Brassworks, the new coffee bar is situated at the bottom of Whickham Bank in Gateshead in a former Brassworks building that dates back to the early 19th Century. A time when the whole area was involved in the steel making industry. Pedalling Squares have retained many of the original features and have also used reclaimed wood and materials for the build. Walls have been stripped back to the original stonework and retain the industrial feel.
By using local suppliers for all the fresh produce, local artisan bakers and coffee roasters they are making sure that everything arrives fresh to your table while helping to boost the local economy.
Pedalling Squares look forward welcoming you, and are the only coffee bar in the area that positively encourage you to park your bike inside, they don’t care if your wet or muddy....you’re always welcome!
