Our 22 bed community run bunkhouse is situated on The Stanegate in the beautiful village of Newbrough, near Hexham and right next door to The Red Lion pub which does food except Sunday and Monday night. We are in the perfect location for The Sandstone Way, Hadrian’s Cycleway (NCN 72) which go past our door.
There is a large walk in shower room on each floor with a small kitchen area on the ground floor. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, hob, fridge and freezer please note there is no oven. We offer an honesty box system for breakfast and meals from the freezer but cooked breakfast can be provided for large groups by prior arrangement. The larger kitchen in the Town Hall can be made available at a small fee if groups want to self cater. We have a large lounge area with a TV for groups by arrangement. There is also an outdoor courtyard with seating.
The surrounding area is great for exploring with woods, fells and the South Tyne all within easy access. Beds cost £24 per night including bedding/towel. A booking for the whole Bunkhouse or sole use of a room works out at a cheaper rate but needs to be booked by speaking to Nick. Please check out our website for more information.
