Award winning AA 5 Star Gold Bed and Breakfast in the village of Belford, Northumberland. Ideally located for the Sandstone Way and the Coast and Castles routes. We provide excellent accommodation and exceptional food made from local suppliers and producers. We cater for one night stays for cyclists wherever possible.
Whether you’re cycling the Sandstone Way, the Coast and Castles or just the Northumberland coastal route we are ideally situated for you to rest and relax at the end of your day.
With 4 beautifully appointed rooms and excellent facilities we will provide you with a relaxed but luxurious stay. Each of our 3 double room have kingsize beds, a 40 or 49 inch smart TV, Nespresso coffee machine and either a walk in shower or a big roll top bath. All our rooms have comfortable chairs away from the bed area to sit and plan your next days ride or, if you’re staying longer which of the amazing locations in the local area you are going to visit.
We are happy to provide free drop off and/or pickup to Bamburgh or Seahouses if you would like a break from cycling or we have an excellent bus service which stops very close to us which can take you down the coast. A visit to the Farne Islands or Bamburgh Castle are a must when in the area.
We can also provide evening meals if you prefer to eat with us and details of these can be found on the “Dining” page of our website. We do not have an alcohol license but you are free to buy your own and bring it back to Market Cross Guest House. Our garden and courtyard are always available for you to use throughout the year with seating and tables in both. There is also a large awning in the courtyard if the sun isn’t shining but you would still like some fresh air.
